Custom Fireplace Bench

One of our clients wanted a contemporary and minimalist fireplace setting, customised to their lounge layout. They selected a freestanding wood burner and complied a few inspiration pictures. We got together on-site to brainstorm some solutions, coming up with the concept of custom-made concrete bench atop wood storage and cupboards – a clean and modern solution allowing for ample storage.

We cast, cured and then polished the concrete bench and matching hearth – all on-site to save on the cost of transporting such heavy pieces. Partnering with our trusted cabinet makers, we added cupboards below the bench in a marine ply to compliment the concrete.

The end result is a solution in perfect harmony with the dimensions of the space, style of the home and needs of the client.
